Sustainable Starter-Pack

Taking the step towards sustainability may seem hard at first, comparing products, juggling prices, and then just wondering if you’re helping in the first place. Well, rest assured, you are! Everything you do, no matter how small to help the planet, really contributes.

But remember! If you have all this stuff already, and they’re all in good condition, there’s no need to go out and buy all of this or throw away your things. By continuing to use them, or fixing them, you are adding to the products’ lifespan and making it more green.

Check out our sustainable starter-pack list below!

Sustainable bags

In Canada, 41.1 Million plastic bags are used each day. The population of Canada is around 38.01 Million, meaning each person uses at least one a day. Reusable bags last longer, and prevent new single-use plastic bags from being produced.

Reusable Straws

16 million plastic straws are used every day, now imagine if you could slice that number by using your own straw! Next time you buy a refreshing drink or warm concoction, whip out your reusable straw- and sip away, content that even with this small action, you’re helping out.

And for cleaning necessities, these packs come with cleaners that can fit into the straw sizes for easy cleaning.

Listed below are some metal straws in different colours and sizes, bent or straight!

Sustainable Pencils

Ever dreamed of a flower that bloomed from the tip of a pencil like magic? Well, something similar already exists! Not only can you use the writing tool, but long after its stalk has become too short to write with, a beautiful flower or herb will grow in its stead.

Or!

The wood used to make traditional pencils must leave debris behind right? Wood chips are reused to form pencils, halting the need for cutting more trees to create pencils.

Reusable Sandwich Bags

On average, each person uses 540 plastic sandwich bags in a year! Turn that into lunch boxes or insulated containers, or if you like the versatile usage of a plastic bag, reusable sandwich bags!

Toilet Cleaner

Ah yes, the thing that must be cleaned. Simply tear a strip, drop it into the toilet bowl, and wash away! (The strip will dissolve by itself!) I think it’s a really good alternative to large bottles of detergent, and it has less intense chemicals as well.

Laundry Detergent Strips

These ones are fragrance free but come in a multitude of fragrances, and share similar benefits as the toilet cleaners mentioned above. No need to have huge bottles when you have these!
