Project KELP and UHill SEC are proud to present the three zero waste boxes from TerraCycle to University Hill Secondary for the school year with the funding provided by Vancouver School Board’s Sustainability Grants. (link)
These boxes will raise more awareness about responsible consumptions and reducing the waste to the landfill. By working together we will have a more sustainable community and world.
Announcements about the Zero Waste campaign
UHillians, do you sometimes face a dilemma of choosing the right bins to dispose your snack bags, ziploc bags, or energy bar/candy wrappers? Look no further, UHill Sustainability Everyday Club (UHill SEC) is proud to present you: the Zero Waste Box for the Snack and Candy Wrappers! Remember to EMPTY the food contents in the Compost Bin first and then put the snack bag/packaging in our designated box. Find the box in the school cafeteria, next to a column and the bottle recycling bin!
Two more Zero Waste Boxes are on the UHill Campus too, one for used cords and cables from electronic devices, and one for sporting goods that are no longer usable.
By working with TerraCycle, UHill SEC will ensure the collected contents in these Three Zero Waste Boxes be recycled and reused responsibly!
UHillians, let’s make every day a sustainable day! Achievable steps for a healthy planet!
Please reach out to me and our members if you have any questions!
